White Mountains NEMBA 2025- the year to come

What are we planning ?

First on our list, signage, finally! : We fell short of this goal last year but everything is in place to make it happen this year. Lagers Lane realignment: Lagers will get a small realignment so that it aligns with the High School trail trailhead. There will also be a connector to the gate on FS rd. 379 which will complete the goal of routing bike traffic off of FS roads with vehicle traffic. Electric Loop bridge: The old long skinny bridge is in need of replacement. It’s been patched and repaired for some time now, but needs to be rebuilt. Adaptive trails: We will be finishing up the adaptive trails upgrade in Rogers Crossing. Fryeburg Academy will be partnering with us in their outdoor ed program. Students will learn about trail design and building to adaptive standards with our guidance over three field visits. Youth cycling program: Youths are the future! We will start the program this summer during summer vacation. The program will provide cycling opportunities for youths in the MWV for one day per week at no cost. Grant writing: We are pursuing several grant opportunities to offset the cost of trail work; programs such as youth cycling and paid trail crew positions.
