West Side

Lower Moats – Tucked under the Lower Moat area are some nice beginner trails with a few challenges thrown in; 1 beginner and 4 intermediate trails. You can find parking along side Cathedral Ledge Rd. , near the kiosk, and ride on the Echo Lake beginner trails up through Hales Location to the connector trail and on to Forest Rd. (FR) 379. You’ll find the Ultimate Single Track and Electric Loop that are pretty gentle. There are also some double track fire roads that are nice easy rides and a rail trail that brings you up to an old quarry.

High Street – High School Trail – Best ridden from the end of High Street at the Kiosk–the trail is a short punchy climb near the beginning. After the reroute, there is a fun downhill followed by a climb to the trail end. Parking is best at the top of High St. but includes a climb back up High St to the parking lot.

Mineral Site – Can you say ‘Old School’? These trails offer some fun downhill runs with several switchbacks and some technical rock obstacles. So, hold onto your hat! The trails ride well both ways but sees a lot of uphill traffic so keep your eyes peeled. Also, the intermediate Stoney Ridge is a climbing bypass section to aviod climbing the upper section of Stoney Ridge; 4 expert and 2 intermediate trails. Park at the end of High St.

 

East SIde

Cranmore Bike Park and Hurricane Mt. Zone - Get ready for some sick downhill action either by lift assist or pedal power. There is a variety of beginner to expert trails from flow to tech and plenty of parking at the base of Cranmore parking lots. Trails offer 3 beginner, 9 intermediate, 5 expert and 1 double diamond. The lift assisted trails were built and are managed by Cranmore Bike Park and the pedal power trails in the Hurrican Mt. Zone were built and are maintained by Ride NoCo . Happy shredding!

Hemlock and Thompson Rd. – Lot’s of fun, techy trails with some challenging bridges, rock features, and some pretty good elevation. There are 13 beginner, 11 intermediate, and 3 expert trails. These trails are part of the same system but have access points on opposite ends. You can park at the south end (Hemlock) behind Walmart off the North-South Rd. or on the North end (Thompson Rd) in a smaller lot that is shared with hikers.

Marshall’s Conservation – There’s something for all riders from an easy recreation trail to machine built, bermed, flow trails. Bike repair station at gate. Try the nice long machine built trail called ‘Shumway’ back to the parking lot. Parking off the West Side Rd., 8 beginner and 6 intermediate trails.
